Students aged 14 – 17 are invited to take part in the experience of a lifetime…Encounters with Canada.
The country’s leading youth forum, Encounters with Canada is a week-long citizenship, leadership and career-exploration program that takes place in Ottawa. Throughout the school year, teens from across the country gather at the Terry Fox Youth Centre for an unforgettable week of bilingual workshops, outings and cultural events. More than 107,000 students have already taken advantage of this life-changing opportunity!

Vimy: Canada's Coming of Age
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Duration: One week - students usually leave home on Sunday and return on Saturday.
Lodging: Students stay in dormitories at the Terry Fox Canadian Youth Centre.
Cost: $675, including transportation, lodging, meals and activities.
Transportation: Transportation is arranged by Encounters with Canada, paid for by Exchanges Canada. Students travel by rail, bus or air, depending on where they live. An electronic ticket is sent via email.
Registration: Students register online, using the access code provided by their school
representative or the local EWC coordinator (see below). The student’s theme week is only
confirmed once the signed registration form and payment have been received in Ottawa.
