Welcome to Montreal, Malala!

Welcome to Montreal, Malala! Yesterday, twenty-seven lucky Secondary two students along with Mrs. Mauricio, Ms. Beach and Mr. Abracen attended Influence Montreal, an “entrepreneur and influencer” conference that promotes diversity and leadership at Place Bonaventure. The guest speaker was Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai. The young activist spoke about feminism, the struggle for gender equality all over the world and the importance of Education. Our St. Thomas group was certainly inspired and appreciated this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
